Foiled Back Harlequin Ring

A beautiful example of harlequin jewelry set with a foiled back diamond, emerald, topaz, and ruby as well as diamonds flanking on either side. The diamonds, as always in this period, are set in silver while the colored stones are set in yellow gold. The ring itself is yellow gold. All the stones are original. It is hallmarked French, dating from 1798-1809.
